06th April 2010: For the past couple of months MOOH has been providing O2 customers with free rickshaw rides as part of their O2 PRIORITY campaign, during a number of Arsenals home games at the Emirates football stadium.
The response from both O2 customers and Arsenal fans has been fantastic, with onlookers finding it impossible not to interact, whether its by riding in the back as a passenger, taking photos or chanting as our rickshaws go by.
21st Jan 2010: Nokia freed the world, announcing that it would make full GPS navigation available to all users of its current mobile handsets worldwide, with a new version of its Ovi Maps application.
Mapping services are common on mobile devices such as the iPhone, BlackBerry and Nokia's own smartphones but, normally a feature of dedicated GPS units such as TOM TOM, Nokia has again set a first for handset manufacturers by offering free turn-by-turn voice navigation to the world.
Promoting Nokia's ground breaking news, we provided 5 of our funky Freeco rickshaws to transport journalists to nearby tube stations after the press release. 2 of our digital AdBikes were also placed outside Centre Point (Shaftesbury Ave) to create further awareness, taking digital media where similar formats are yet to reach.
Receiving less than 48hrs notice from booking we ignited the launch, sharing the great news and engaging with the crowds...even Nokia's UK head 'Mark Loughran' couldn't resist a quick go in one of our rickshaws (2nd photo below)!
5th Jan 2010: MOOH signs a 5 year exclusive advertising agreement with The Mall UK, for escalator advertising bringing our portfolio to more than 80 locations, and over 500 escalators.
Paul Grundy - Managing Director said "This is an extremely exciting partnership for us, adding to our existing portfolio, giving MOOH an even greater reach in terms of national coverage, which is essential for some of our larger clients”.
Due to the size of our national portfolio MOOH is now able to place our clients’ campaigns in front of almost 42 million people each week.
4th Jan 2010: Yet another innovative and engaging outdoor promotional media is added to our already exciting inventory, as MOOH begins working in partnership with IKU Advertising.
MOOH has branded this latest media as ‘PromoSTAND’, which is a modern styled mobile billboard, providing over 7msq advertising space that can be wheeled into high footfall and even pedestrianised areas such as city centres. Additionally to its high visibility, PromoSTAND is also designed to carry promotional samples, is Bluetooth ready and is generally manned by 1-2 campaign ambassadors.
Previously known as Kazaru’s, IKU’s clients have taken advantage of this media for store openings, product launches, event awareness and even directional information.
Our Media Sales Director – Ribs Sidhu said “As with any new media that we bring onboard, we’re really looking forward to introducing this to our clients, and I have every confidence that MOOH will have its first PromoSTAND campaign in a matter of days”.
19th Nov 2009: As part of our UK escalator advertising expansion, we recently began trials within the Nexus Metro network in Newcastle.
Thus far our media RailAds has received an exceptional response from the public, following the polite safety notices printed onto our media "PLEASE STAND TO THE RIGHT" and "PLEASE HOLD THE HANDRAIL". Additionally to this, members of Nexus management commented on the public response, expressing their excitement of making their network a safer place.
Due to recent legislation as part of the DDA (Disabled Discrimination Act), all escalators in public places must clearly indicate the direction in which the machinery is moving (up/down) for passenger safety, and by placing our highly durable RailAds media over existing handrails, MOOH is able to do exactly that.
13th Nov 2009:MOOH recently took another step into the entertainments world, assisting with the launch of one of vue's latest cinemas in Newbury.
Ribs Sidhu - Media Sales Director said “This was a fun campaign for us to get involved with, and in addition to the fact that it was one of vue’s most successful launches to date, Newbury’s residents, including children, adults and even senior citizens absolutely loved having our Freeco rickshaws in town”.
As part of vue’s launch campaign, MOOH provided two fully branded egocabs over the space of 1 month, giving free rides within the town centre.
8th Oct 2009: After much waiting and anticipation, our funky Freeco rickshaws finally hit the streets of Leicester, making MOOH one of the UK's first providers of free, environmentally friendly travel for ecologically conscious cities.
Endorsed by Leicester City Council and in partnership with One Leicester, our Freeco rickshaws will provide free journeys for up to two people across the city centre, improving accessibility, generating positive PR and driving sales activity. It will provide a timely boost for Leicester city centre in the run-up to Christmas, with its weekly visitors approaching ½ million, as it seeks to attract customers from across the region.
The free service using 5 ‘cabs’ is funded by advertisers and sponsors who take advantage of a combination of the 4.2msq per cab of external advertising space, the internal LCD screen and consumer guide.
We hope to gradually implement egocabs into other cities across the UK.
